St. Mary’s Convent Sr. Sec School Ajmer is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and English is the medium of instruction. The School follows the CCE pattern as prescribed by the Board. It provides the Senior Students the Arts, Commerce and Science streams to choose from.
The Academic year at St. Mary’s consists of:
a) Three Terms for Classes I to V (Evaluation I, Evaluation II & Evaluation III)
b) Two Terms for Classes VI-X:-
Term I from April to September, and –
Term II from October to March.
c)Three Terms for Classes XI and XII(Quarterly, Half-Yearly and Final)
St. Mary’s School Ajmer follows six day week consisting of 48 periods (each period is of 40 minutes each).
Art and Craft and Sanskrit are compulsory subjects and are conducted for two periods a week. Apart from the teaching periods the School also provides a Zero period each day for the students to develop various talents and skills.
The Students have the choice of choosing their field of interest from a plethora of extra curricular activities such as- Karate, Basket ball, Table tennis, Gymnastics, Yoga, the School Band, the English Drama Club-Kaleidoscope, the Eco-Club, Dance and Singing Classes and Aerobics.
A physical training, games and a library period a week add to the necessary mental and physical well being of our students. Our well-equipped school library subscribes to a variety of books and magazines. Being informed on current affairs is a vital link to the outside world.
