Alumni Quiz Competition 2023
The Madhurima Nyati Award for Excellence in Reading and Literature

A Quiz Competition (stage round) was organized on 6th September 2023 for classes IX to XII by the Alumni Association, S.M.A., Ajmer. Four teams who secured the highest points in the preliminary written round on 18th August 2023 made it to the final round. The Stage Round comprised of Mixed Bag Round, Know Your Spellings Round, Audio Round, Visual Round, and Rapid Fire Round.
Dvaanshika Bhati and Anvesha Maheshwari of X C emerged as winners whereas Vaishnavi Lalwani and Anushka Upadhyay of Class IX B were the runners-up. The award is initiated by Madhurima Nyati of the 1963 Batch who through this competition aims to promote a love for reading among the students. The award comprises a cash prize by Madhurima Nyati and a certificate by the Alumni Association S.M.A., Ajmer.
The quizmaster Ma’am Elvira Fernandez read out the rules at the beginning of each round. The scoreboard was kept by Ma’am Varsha whereas Ma’am Rajni and Ma’am Meenakshi Malhotra kept the time and handled the question bank on stage. They were assisted by the Captain of Gandhi House, Labhanshi Bansal.
Even the audience participated enthusiastically and answered the questions passed to them by the Quizmaster.
