Inter-School Debate Competition
St. Mary’s Convent Sr. Sec. School, Ajmer participated in the Inter School Debate Competition organized by East Point Sr. Sec. School, Ajmer on 14th October 2022.
The competition was open to students in the Senior Category. Sr. Anusha, the Principal graciously accepted the invitation for participation. Anjali Pedwal and Prachi Gurnani represented S.M.A. in the English debate. The topic of the debate was: Artificial Intelligence will be superior to human beings. While Prachi spoke in favour of the topic, Anjali spoke against the motion. The speakers were judged by an esteemed panel of judges from a wide range of professional backgrounds. The young debater, Anjali Pedwal secured the first prize while speaking against the motion.
The Hindi debating team was represented by Riddhi Bhambhani and Laghima Srivastava. The topic of the debate was: Azadi ke 75 varsh Bharat ka swarnim yug hai. While Riddhi spoke in favour of the topic, Laghima spoke against the motion. Towards the end of the debating session the renowned judges expressed the difficulties they faced while judging the excellent debaters. Laghima Srivastava clinched the third spot among the speakers while voicing her views against the motion.
St. Mary’s looks forward to many more victories with pride and confidence in her children.
