Inter – School Quiz Competition 2023

An Inter – School Quiz Competition was organized on 2nd October 2023 for students of classes IX to XII by the Gandhi Samiti in collaboration Sophia College to pay homage to the Father of Our Nation – Gandhi Ji . Teams comprising of two students each from fifteen different schools registered and participated in the Competition with enthusiasm. Four teams who had secured the highest points in the preliminary written round early that morning made it to the final round. The Stage Round comprised of Mixed Bag, Audio/ Visual Round – Buzzer Round, Choice Round, and Rapid Fire Round. In the Choice Round, the contesting teams were asked to choose one event from Gandhi Ji’s life. They were then asked questions on the same.
Tejal Choudhary and Priyanshi Lalwani of St. Mary’s Convent School, Ajmer secured the first position in the written round with 44 points. Putting up a wonderful display of knowledge, intuition and teamwork they emerged as the first runners – up with a difference of just ten points from the first spot as the Quiz drew to a close.
St. Mary’s is proud of her young quiz bees who worked tirelessly to prepare for the interesting and informative experience. This was a wonderful way to learn more about Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi also lovingly called Bapu. Students at St. Mary’s are encouraged to read more and follow in the footsteps of Gandhi Ji by practicing cleanliness, discipline, truthfulness, non-violence and dedication to service.
