Pandies’ Theatre performs at S.M.A., Ajmer
Dr. Anuradha Marwah (an alumnus of the 1979 Batch) along with her theatre group visited S.M.A., Ajmer on 30th September 2019. The actors performed a Greek tragedy written by Euripedes under ‘Project Samtal’. The play ‘Medea’ portrayed the position of women, dalits and other minorities. With a strong message for the upliftment of women, the play left an indelible mark on the minds of the students of the senior classes. The play lasting 55 minutes was followed by a short interaction session with the Director (Dr. Marwah) and the actors who answered questions raised by the students. The Principal, Sr. Sheena expressed gratitude and extended good wishes by presenting a small token in the form of a green plant and a memento to Dr. Marwah and hand crafted cards (created by the students) to the actors. The welcome address was read out by Ms. Elvira Fernandez and the vote of thanks was given by Jhanvi Verma of XI Arts.
It was a wonderful opportunity for the students to witness high quality theatre in Hindustani at their very door step.
