Republic Day 2020

We celebrated our country’s 71st Republic Day on 26th January 2020 with great enthusiasm. The deputy Superintendent of Traffic Police, Mr. Vijay Kumar Sankhla presided as the Chief Guest. He was welcomed by the Principal-Sr. Sheena, Mrs. Jennifer Cleopas (PTI) and Mr. Mohsin Khan (PTI). The parade pilots – Shivani Yadav, Kriti Jain, Jasvinder Kaur and Vaishnavi Chauhan escorted the chief guest to the dais where he hoisted the flag as the National Anthem was played by the School Band. The Parade Commander Ilma Qureshi invited the Chief Guest to inspect the troops and asked permission to begin the march past. The seven troops from Classes XI Arts, XI Commerce, XI Science, IX A, IX B, IX C and IX D were led by their contingent leaders Divyanshi Soni, Muskan Singh Rathore, Dhun Sharma, Pankjakshi Ajmera, Palak Tak, Priyanshi Saxena and Kanishka Soni respectively. The Parade was adjudged by three judges and the results were announced by Sr. Principal. Class XI Commerce bagged the first place, the second position was secured by Class XI Arts and the third place was taken by IX D. The Chief Guest was felicitated by presenting him with a green, potted plant. An exhilarating dance performance followed a beautiful song sung by the school choir. The Chief Guest and the Principal emphasised the importance of harmony and encouraged the students to value our unity in diversity. The speech delivered on the occasion by a student from Class IX filled everyone with passionate love for our motherland.

Loud chants of ‘Jai Hind’ brought the programme to a close.
