After the new office bearers were sworn-in, the competitions for the year were kick-started at S.M.A., Ajmer by the Inter-House English Debate Competition on 15th July 2023. The competition was open to students from classes IX to XII. Four participants from each House presented their views in favour of or against the motion for the day – Women empowerment is a Myth. A total of sixteen debaters kept the audience spell bound with their contentions. They debated to and fro making it difficult for the judges to pick the top three speakers. The time allotted to each speaker was 3 minutes to prove their viewpoint. The jury listened carefully and judged the speakers on the following criterion: Content, Delivery, Language and Overall presentation. At the end, Mr. Gene Lee and Sr. Anusha, the Principal addressed the attentive gathering and explained nuances of the topic as well as debating skills.
