St. Mary’s Convent Sr. Sec. School, Ajmer celebrated World Book and Copyright Day on 23rd April 2024. A special session was organized during the morning assembly. Students read out articles on the Bard, William Shakespeare. This day marks his birth and death anniversary. UNESCO’s theme for World Book and Copyright Day 2024 is ‘Read Your Way’which showcases the importance of reading as a source of joy and inspiration. It also aims to encourage youngsters and elders to find innovative ways to engage in reading books and resonate with them in their lives.
To commemorate this momentous occasion, Sr. Anusha, the principal also launched the novel Scrambled Love penned by Elvira Fernandez. This is the author’s seventh novel and is based on themes like relationships, sacrifice, understanding,magic, mystery, and love for nature. Sr. Anusha congratulated the author, addressed the gathering and encouraged the students to practice reading for fun as a healthy way of entertainment and learning.
